Your roofing contractor in Coral Gables.

Coral Gables was incorporated in 1925, was developed by George Merrick, and its architecture is almost entirely Mediterranean Revival style as mandated in the original plan (Wikipedia).

If your Coral Gables roof is leaking or storm damaged, see roof repair in Miami. If it is near the end of its life, see roof replacement in Miami.

Permits in Coral Gables

Coral Gables has its own Development Services Department. Its permit requirements for a new roof or re-roof ask for color photographs of the existing roof tile, the specifications and selected color of the tile or material to be installed, a Notice of Acceptance or product approval for each roof component, and the High Velocity Hurricane Zone roof permit application forms. The same list shows City Architect and Board of Architects review, and Historical review where applicable, so plan for approvals before the job is scheduled.

Historic review and your roof

Coral Gables passed its first preservation ordinance in 1973 and later set up a Historic Preservation Board. The city's Historical Resources and Cultural Arts Department reviews modifications to locally designated landmarks (Wikipedia). If your home is a landmark, ask early whether a roof change needs that review, because it can add time before the permit is issued.
